Personal Projects

20140620_205145My first car is a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe 4 Door with the original straight 6 motor and “3 speed on the tree” manual trans.  It’s called the “Blue Bomb” and has been restored to as close to original as possible except for the color which is a beautiful shade of blue.  I wish I could take credit for this restoration but I cannot, I actually bought it this way.  It is a real show car and has even been used in a parade once.  I will make a post about that soon and link it here when I do.

My Second car is a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door sedan.  This car is amazing20140612_164038 because it is all ORIGINAL!  That’s right only 79,000 miles and has original motor (289) and trans (C4) and even original paint and interior.  It has nice power and is my everyday driver during the classic car season.  I have a lot of ideas for it but I am limited in what I can do because I do want to keep it original for now.  I have not yet named her but I do like “Goldie”, but we will see.

20160225_160128My third car is believe it or not a 1947 Cadillac Series 60 Fleetwood personal limousine.  One of only 8,500 made that year.  It was actually a gift from my mentor Alex Levesque of the Automotive Mentoring Group.  I was given to me as a thank you for all the hard work and time I have dedicated to the AMG over the last 2 years.  And WOW what a gift.  It needs a restoration but it is 95% there and the body and paint are actually pretty good.  It’s name is “Humphrey” which will be explained in the blog.  I will be blogging about that and the restoration trough out the process, so stay tuned!

Finally I am restoring a 1971 Triumph TR6 as a gift to my wife.  We are using it20150113_141712 as a mentoring project for the AMG and actually recently 2 students and I went to New York State for a week to build a new frame for it.  It was an amazing trip and I will be blogging about that as well as the entire build here.  It was featured in a Magazine called Moss Motors last fall and I have decided to name it “Gang Triumph” as a result of that article.  That will also be part of this blog.
